I skimmed the Vice article in question, and I didn't notice anything that seemed grossly inaccurate. But more importantly: PewDiePie is mixing up the terms "slander" and "libel." There was a scene in the first Spider-Man film where J. Jonah Jameson explains the difference:
How can anyone forget? "Slander is spoken. In print it's libel."
