Sudoku grind

Here was another Sudoku puzzle that took me hours to solve.  I had to stare, and whittle away, and slowly figure out some of the logic.  It took me a while to figure out that either the "1" or the "9" had to be in the top-right and bottom-right corners, otherwise you would up with duplicate numbers somewhere along the top and bottom row.  The thing which finally cracked it open was figuring out that the right-side endpoint of the tie-fighter must be a "9," since the space directly to the right of the bulb couldn't be a "2."

The guy in the video keeps hyping up the X-Wing strategy, which in my opinion is a pretty dorky name for a solving strategy. Also, I picture an X-Wing as having diagonal lines that cross over, and, from what I understand, the Sudoku version of an "X-Wing" involves parallel lines.
